Change to Nipper training times at Stowford on 26th February Rob (Nippers) - 05 February 2012 @ 09:19 On Sunday the 26th February we will be preparing for the Devon Stillwater Competition at Ilfracombe Pool on Sunday 4th March. We will be practicing in competing teams on the 26th so we would like the Nippers to train in age groups as follows:
3.30 - 5.00 2004, 2003 and 2002 Nippers only 5.00 - 6.30 2001, 2000 and 1999 Nippers only
Can only those Nippers who are competing or intending to compete attend please. Don't forget Nippers need a club competition hat to compete, available from the Kit Stop.
Saunton Sands SLSC Voluntary Lifeguard Patrols 2012 Jan - 04 February 2012 @ 17:01 This is the second year of our Voluntary Lifeguard Patrols. Last year was a great success with rescues, searches and first aid all provided. Thanks to all those who took part. This year we aim to expand the patrols to more dates during the summer. Qualified people are needed but anyone can help. This is a great opportunity to represent the club and help provide this much needed and appreciated service to the community. You can do whole days or just a few hours - it all helps. So sign up and take part in our patrols! It's great fun too!
Proposed Beach Lifeguard and Surf Life Saving Training Dates Jan - 04 February 2012 @ 14:05 FIRST AID & RESUSCITATION TRAINING Starting March 2nd until 30th March Every Friday and Wednesday evening 6pm until 9 pm - Venue TBA
BEACH LIFEGUARD & SURF LIFE SAVING COURSES 1st to 8th April Week long course - Venue Saunton with exam date TBA 13th to 17th August Week long course - Venue Saunton with exam date TBA
Thursday evenings is Club Life Saving training back at the beach. Extra training can be done then.
PROPOSED PROFICIENCY EXAM DATES May 20th, June 17th and October 7th Due to the MIS system of booking exams we will no longer be able to do profiency’s as and when needed. The three dates above will be the only dates you will be able to take these exams.
ALL COURSES WILL ONLY RUN IF ENOUGH CANDIDATES SIGN UP.

Ilfracombe pool training Craig (Juniors) - 01 February 2012 @ 22:14 We have managed to book Ilfracombe swimming pool on the following dates sunday 12th/19th/26th Feb and the 11th of March. There will be two lanes for two hours, 10am - 12am.
This will give us a good opportunity to swim in a 33 metre pool to get ready for the devon and national stillwater competitions. Stowford and West Buckland swimming will still run as usual. Please can you let me know if you will be able to attend the Ilfracombe swimming dates by sunday the 5th of Febuary, either for a one hour session or the full two hours?
If the sessions are well attended we will be able to book more sessions through March and April.
Nipper Devon Stillwater Competition Entry Form Rob (Nippers) - 31 January 2012 @ 18:57 Please print and fill in the attached entry form. All the relevant info is on the form. This is a fun, relaxed local competition at Ilfracombe Pool. It is easy to get to and a good warm up for the National Competition in Cardiff. Come and join in and be a part of the Saunton team!
Juniors, Seniors & Masters 2012 Devons Entry Forms & Details 31 January 2012 @ 16:44 Allie has gotten in touch with details & the entry forms for the Juniors, Seniors & Masters Devon Stillwater Surf Lifesaving Championships 2012.
Taking place on Saturday 17th March 2012 at Ilfracombe Swimming Pool, registration is at 12 noon with a warm-up at 12:15pm prompt.
Entry fees are £12 (Irrespective of the number of events you compete in), and the closing date for entries is Sunday 26th February 2012. Entries made after this date will not count and must be done on the day at a cost of £17.
Masters Devon Stillwater Championships 2012:
Taking place on Sunday 18th March 2012 at Ilfracombe Swimming Pool, registration is at 10am with a 10:15am prompt warm-up time.
Entry fees are £12 (Irrespective of the number of events you compete in), and the closing date for entries is Thursday 1st March 2012. Entries made after this date will not count and must be done on the day at a cost of £17.
